This is a place that we should all visit at least once in our lives. Why do I say that? It has something for everyone – good food for the foodie, the buildings bursting with history, the wildlife sprawling across the region and the sightseeing for the traveler. All of this is available in about seven miles of land. Unbelievable? Believe it!
This region is also commonly known as the Rock of Gibraltar. The area is said to have been inhabited for over a span of 100,000 years now. This region is instrumental in protecting the entrance to the Mediterranean; and it continues to be connected to Spain by an isthmus. The Moors ruled over Gibraltar for a good 700 years, and their mark is very much evident even today.
