All these are the greatest tour delights in this part of the world and span over an area of around 994 square kilometres. Out of this 759 square kilometre is land and 235 square kilometre is water.

Plitvice Lakes is the most common and popular Croatian National Park. This park has a lovely woody and mountainous ambience. With a group of 16 small lakes there is a certain kind of aura to this place which is filled with the lovely green and blue hue of the lakes. Water comes from the innumerable rivers and streams that dot the region. Brijuni National Park is another region that has around 14 islands and many islets with a huge surface area. It is believed that Mljet was a part of the Odysseus route and it was the nymph Calypso who kept him captive there.
