There is the Krka National park which has been named so after the River Krka that flows in the park. Situated in the Central Dalmatian region, this is a little away from Sibenik. This is an interesting and picturesque locale which will give you great travel delights.
Also the National park at Mljet which is a little away from Croatia and is often called the most fascinating Adriatic Island as it has some of the rarest sites located in the middle of the island. It also has a castle on the island and also a Benedictine monastery which belongs to the 12th century. It is believed that Mljet was a part of the Odysseus route and it was the nymph Calypso who kept him captive there. The national Park at Paklencia is another area of beautiful terrain, fascinating landscape and irresistible natural beauty. With the best kinds of natural forests of mountain pine, black pine and beech, it is a great zone of animal pleasures and plant delights.
Visit the Risnjak National Park which is the second highest mountain in Gorski Kotar. This became a Croatian national park in the year 1953 and had the best combination of geological, geographical and natural sights. You shouldn’t miss the thrilling sights of this lovely region of great thrills.
