First Class Experience for Your Pet

In the movie Legally Blone, there was more than one protagonist – Elle, the smart, bright woman and the other – her dog. Bruiser, the dog, definitely makes for quite a star, given the fact that he gets as many clothes in the movie as Reese Witherspoon does. He changes when she changes. That is the way of the world, people! Like they say, it’s a dog’s world.

People have increasingly begun taking a lot of care of their precious pets. Pets are family and are not relegated to living in kennels anymore. With groomers and motels specifically meant for pets, the day wasn’t far away when people would have a first class lounge for their pets.

FLYING FIRST CLASS

Well, well, well – flying first class has always been a dream for most of us. The exclusivity of the whole deal, the plush seats, the service that extends to almost anything you’d like to have even when you’re mid air, the feeling of being treated like royalty. Quite enticing a thought, isn’t it? So why should precious ‘poochie’ should be kept off the bandwagon anymore?

Lufthansa Airlines presents a first class airport lounge specifically meant for pets. First of its sort, the airport lounge has opened up at Germany. This may just be the first step towards a revolution of sort that is going to take the world by a storm.

THE FACILITIES

Lufthansa will cater to all the needs of the pets and they’ll be given treatment similar to their human counterparts. ‘Why should they be left behind?’ say the airline officials.

The first class lounge for these furry four legs and two legs will have state-of-the-art care facilities; and will have all the modes of dealing with a polar bear or even a tropical fish.

While smaller animals will have their own boxes; larger, more exotic animals will be transported in a climate-controlled and pressurized hold of cargo.

There will be personal care given to each animal that walks the hallways of this lounge. The professional expertise aspect hasn’t been compromised on either.

The lounge is designed to hold around 14,000 household pets and around 1,500 horses if need be.

THE LOUNGE

If there is a layover of over 3 hours, then the pets will be sent to the animal lounge.

There will be vets available at any given point in time, so that the animals remain healthy even during their commute.

The first benefactor of this new lounge service was a pregnant dog who began littering just before her plane landed. The lounge officials shifted her and the pups to the lounge and a vet was summoned to take care of the entire delivery process.
