Austria | April 6, 2010 | No discussion yet

For us, Innsbruck is a stimulating slice of heaven. Located high in the Austrian Alps, we beat the boundless heat wave that was sweeping the entire Europe. Along with that, we had some wonderful days in Innsbruck by breathing the fresh mountain air and exploring the paradise of nature.

It was my friends who forced me to visit such a great place with them. Today, I go on saying them ‘Thank you’ to take me to such a naturally beautiful place in Austria. Basically, Innsbruck is a small town that offers plenty of outdoor activities. Skiing is the major activity that enjoys by almost every tourist who throngs here from all over the world. Even during the summer season, you can enjoy skiing if only the weather permits you. The town Innsbruck has got its name from the river Inn that runs within its territory. The ‘bruck’ word came out of the bridge that crosses the Inn River.

We never miss a chance to advice our rest of the friends to visit Innsbruck and experience the real beauty of the nature. Well, for us Innsbruck is a lovely place to relax, enjoy a number of great Austrian cuisines, and watch few of the soccer games.

We reached to the town through Innsbruck Kranebitten Airport that located in Tyrol and went directly to book a room to get sufficient rest. By staying at the Golden Adler we pushed back to the past medieval time, as it is the oldest Inn in the town that is made up of stone and metal sconces. In fact, the Emperor Maximilian has stayed at this hotel. This hotel has the most wonderful restaurant where you can try Austrian food and other excellent flavors.

We enjoyed lot of hiking a day and burnt our legs. The area has many ski lifts that will take you to the top of the mountains. Otherwise, you can even try the other option that is biking, but is a little hard activity. The mountain has near to straight slope for skiing. We decided to take the ski lift up and enjoy hiking the mountain by stopping at different farm or pub all the way. The magnificent views and the fresh mountain air has made our hiking experience great.

During night, the city gears up with the outdoor festival for world cup. You will be charmed by seeing the big screen, and flat screen Televisions that set up outside and the area is filled with food vendors. Everyone remains excited to see the World Cup games. We spent some best nights here by enjoying the beer, nice weather, and late sunsets, altogether bringing the beauty like heaven in Innsbruck.
